Luton, in Bedfordshire, England, became the headquarters of Huntleigh Technology PLC after the 1975 merger that formed the company from Hymatic Engineering, which Rolf Schild had acquired in 1973. Under his chairmanship, the Luton based company won three Queen’s Awards for Export and grew into a major international healthcare equipment maker.
