Wider Schild Story
This place is connected to a wider Schild surname story in Barossa Valley wine history, not a confirmed part of our direct family line.
Angus Brae sits about four kilometres north of the Lyndoch township. The family purchased it in December 2001, naming it for Ed Schild’s grandson Angus, combined with the Scottish word “brae,” meaning a steep hillside. It produces some of the family’s highest quality Shiraz grapes.
